Voter Maintenance
Use Voter Maintenance to create, edit, delete or view voter registration information including the voter's name, address, party enrollment, and voting districts. This maintenance may also be called Voter Master information.
The Voter Maintenance window is normally open.
If it is
closed, to reopen it click
on the Button Bar.

Voter Maintenance Entries | |
To create a new voter ID, press [Enter].
The system
will assign the next available ID and allow you to enter the voter information
starting with the Last Name field. | |

To update the new or changed information click Save.

You can use Search to view
all of the existing voters. From
the Search window you can select a voter to change or delete. |

To display an existing voter, enter the ID and click Retrieve or press [ENTER]. |
History |
Displays the date of the last change made to this voter. This may not be edited and is automatically updated when changes are saved. |
Images |
Images can be used to display a photo of the voter or a photo of their driver's license. For information about adding or changing images click here. |
Last Name |
Enter the voter’s last name (up to 20 characters). |
First Name |
Enter the voter’s first name (up to 15 characters). |
MI |
Enter the voter’s middle initial (up to 2 characters). |
Is automatically formed based on the Search Code Key specifications and the voter's name. Press [TAB] to accept or enter another search code. The search code is used to lookup or report voters alphabetically. For more information about Search Codes click here. | |
Date of Birth |
Enter the voter’s date of birth (MMDDYY). |
Home Address |
Enter the home or street address (up to 26 characters). |
Mailing Address |
Press [Tab] if the mailing address is the same as the Home Address to have the system automatically fill this in. Otherwise, enter the mailing address (up to 26 characters). |
Town, State |
Press [Tab]
to accept the default town or city name and state abbreviation. Or,
enter the name, a comma, a space, and the state abbreviation (up to 25
characters). |
Zip Code |
Press [Tab] to accept the default zip code or enter another zip code. Enter with 5-digits (including leading zeros) or by entering the zip+4 code consisting of 5-digits, dash (-), and 4 more digits. Zip codes are important as mailing labels may be sorted in zip code order. |
Click a district from the drop-down list (2.0).

districts to designate wards and precincts. Click

Click a senate district from the drop-down
list (2.0). Click

Misc Entry |
Enter any miscellaneous information (up to
20 characters). Or,
press [Tab] to leave this field

Date Last Voted |
Enter the date the voter last voted, if known (MMDDYY). Otherwise, press [Tab]. |
NOTE: The next four fields (Street # - Special Code) are user-defined. They can be used in conjunction with Just Ask to create additional reports and provide geographic voter information. The Voter By Street report uses these fields as sorting criteria. These fields are optional and can be skipped by pressing [Tab]. | |
Street # |
Enter the street number assigned by the town or city to this voter’s street (5.0). |
Street Seq # |
Enter the voter’s house number on their street (4.0). |
Street Code |
Enter the street code that you assigned to this street (1 character + up to 4 digits). |
Special Code |
Enter an additional code (2 characters). |
Date Enrolled |
Enter the date the voter enrolled in the party (MMDDYY). |
Click a status from the drop-down list. Choices
are: | |

Displays the date the voter's status was changed.
During
Update Voter Status
this date is changed if the voter's status is changed. |

To save the changes made, click Save
or press [ENTER]. |

When you finish voter maintenance, you do not have to close out as this window can always stay open. |

CAUTION!
If you forget to click Save, you
may lose your changes.
Enter the Voter ID of the voter to be changed
and press [ENTER] or click . Or,
you may click
if you do not know the ID.
Press [Tab] to the information that needs to be changed or using the mouse click on the desired field.
Edit the information following the entry guidelines for that field.
To complete the edit, click .
