Party Codes

Use Party Codes to maintain the codes assigned to the political parties within your voting area.  Each registered voter is assigned a party code so it is important to create a party code of unenrolled in addition to the political parties.  Up to 14 parties can be created.

Directions

• From the Menu Bar click File Maintenance, and next click Party Codes.
  Keyboard Shortcut:  [ALT] [m] [p]

• For directions to create Party Codes, click more.

  Note:   After making file maintenance changes, please close out of Voter Registration and re-enter for the changes to take effect.

  Party Codes Entries
  Title	Enter Valid Parties.
  Description	Enter Political Parties.
  NOTE:  Enter abbreviations and corresponding party names until all valid political parties within your voting area have been entered.
  Abbreviation	Enter the initial used to denote the first political party (1 character).
  Party Name	Enter the political party name assigned to this abbreviation (1-14 characters).
  	Click this button to save the changes made.   CAUTION:  If you forget to click Save, you may lose your changes.
  	When maintenance is complete, click this button to close out of this routine.
