Field Description - Pay Periods Per Year
The Number of Pay Periods Per Year defines how many pay periods exist for a specific Run Code. For example, Run Code 1 may have 52 pay periods per year for employees paid weekly, and Run Code 3 may have 26 pay periods per year for employees paid biweekly.
Tips:
If this value is not defined because the table for a specific Run Code is missing, Payroll defaults to the following scheme:
52 pay periods - Run Codes 1-2, and 4-9
26 pay periods - Run Code 3
Instead of using this field, the MSRS retirement programs use the Expected Pay Pds per Year field maintained during Employee Master Maintenance - Employee Retirement Fields Area.
