Common Medications Template Maintenance
Use Medication Template Maintenance to maintain templates containing up to 18 of the most common medications that a Provider may prescribe during patient encounters. A medications template allows you to quickly enter patient encounter information during the Patient Medications and Allergies Window. You can maintain a single Medications template or as many medications templates as desired including templates that can be used for condition-specific situations such as, diabetes or glaucoma. There is a medications list to choose your medications from.
Notes:
NDS recommends that your practice establish a standard list for the most common medications maintained as the Standard Medications Template. You should assign STD as the Template ID and assign Standard as the template name.
The green buttons at the bottom of the Medications Template window are reserved for future use.
For more information about working with data in fields, see the Data Entry Guidelines.
