Reassign Account Numbers
Use the Reassign Account Numbers utility to automatically assign a new Tax Account Number to any Real Estate property in the Assessing module with a blank Tax Account Number. This does not affect any Tax Accounts in Tax Billing until the next time you run Post Tax Bills.
Notes:
Some municipalities reassign new Tax Account Numbers every year by first running Clear Account Numbers to blank out the Tax Account Numbers. Then they run Reassign Account Numbers to sequentially assign new Tax Account Numbers to every property.
If the Tax Account Number in the Tax Master file is blank (an unusual circumstance), this utility leaves it blank in the Real Estate master file.

To see instructions for opening Reassign Account Numbers, click More.
Click Utilities from the Menu Bar.
Click Real Estate Account Numbers.
Click Reassign Account Numbers.
At the Reassign Account Numbers prompt window, choose the selections. To see the prompt options, click More.

To run the utility, click Process or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + p] |

To escape from the routine, click Cancel. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + c] |
