Field Description - User Number

The User Number is a unique number associated with each User ID.  Although you see the User ID more often, the User Number is stored in some files, displayed in some windows, and printed on some reports.  For example, in the Cash Receipts module, Cash Receipts entry displays the User Number.

Tip:  Do not confuse the User Number with the User ID or the Operator Number.  When you log onto NDS software, you must enter the User ID.  The system then automatically finds the associated User Number.  However, the optional Operator Number is required only by the Sign On window and is used for security purposes.
