Field Description - Ret-ME Plan Code

The Ret-ME Plan Code is the identification code for retirement benefit plans in the MainePERS.  Each Plan Code is associated with the Employer Retirement Rate for Fringe and the IUUAL Cost or Credit Amount for Consolidated Plans.

Tips:

• Plan Codes apply only to the Consolidated Plan.  For Non-Consolidated rates, see the prompt for the MSR Build Monthly Work File.

• The MSRS defines the meaning and values associated with each Plan Code.
  Examples:  AC, AN, BC, 1C, 1N, 2C, 2N, 3C, 3N, 4C, 4N

• The MSR Report Remark Code that is associated with an employee contains the Plan Code in the first two characters.
