Field Description - Fund Number

The Fund Number is a category number used for grouping accounts together in the Fund Accounting module.  Appropriations Accounting may include Funds setup for special municipal projects, such road work, sewer construction, and school programs.

Also Called:  Interfund Number

Tip:  The Payroll Post uses the Appropriations Account Number to retrieve the Fund Number from the Appropriations Master file.  Then it uses that Fund Number to retrieve the correct Fund table.

Where-Maintained:  G/L Pay Amount for Fund Table Maintenance (GL Paynn)
