Field Description - Federal Tax Withholding Amount Totals

The fields for Federal Tax Withholding Amount Totals contain various totals of the Federal Tax Withholding Amount accumulated during the current year.

Notes:

• The settings for Deduction Exemptions and Other Pay Exemptions control how the system updates these fields.

• You can view YTD totals for federal withholding during Employee Totals Master Maintenance in the YTD Totals Area.

• You can view MTD totals for any month within the current year during Employee Monthly Totals Maintenance in the Withholding Totals Area.

• You can view MTD totals and totals for each of the four quarters in the current year during Employee Quarterly Totals Maintenance in the Employee Quarterly Totals Area.

• The system updates these fields, so you do not normally need to edit them.

• The Period End Clear process clears these fields when you specify a calendar clear.
