Field Description - Employee Alpha User-Defined Field 6

The Employee Alpha User-Defined Field 6 is one of seven alphanumeric fields that you can use for your specific purposes.  You can enter data into the field during Employee Master Maintenance in the User Defined Fields Area.

Notes:

• Because the fields are user-defined, the field names in the software may not match the documentation.  You can globally change the field names by using PR User Defined Fields Table Maintenance (PR-USDEF).

• There are also four Employee User-Defined Numeric fields.

• If your municipality uses expanded Appropriations Account Numbers, which are longer than the standard eight-digit field length, you can enter the expanded number in this field or in the Department Number field.  For more information, refer to Understanding Expanded Appropriations Account Numbers.

Format:  up to 16 characters for input.  (This field can display up to 20 characters for expanded Appropriations Account Numbers with automatically embedded dashes.)
