Direct Deposit Bank Record Maintenance

Use Direct Deposit Bank Record Maintenance to maintain the Bank Record for the direct deposit transmission file.

• Your bank or other financial institution provides the information needed to fill in the fields.  For assistance, contact NDS Technical Support.

• Opening Direct Deposit Bank Record Maintenance, click More.

   

  1.  Click Payroll.

  2.  Click Miscellaneous File Maintenance.

  3.  Click Direct Deposit Build.

  4.  Click Bank Record.
  
  Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [p] [m] [b] [b].

   

• Creating a new Bank Record, click More.

   

  If the Bank Record does not exist, the program automatically prompts for a new record.  Simply fill in the data and click Save.

  Note:  There is only one Bank Record, so normally you only have to create the new record once.

  Direct Deposit Bank Record Maintenance Prompts Tip:  To change the size of the entry fields, point to the right border until you see the border resizing symbol .  Then drag the border left or right.
  Line 1	Enter the first line of the password header according to instructions from your bank or financial institution.  (up to 74 characters) Note:  The text must not start with 1, because that value is reserved as a special record type for the batch header record.
  Line 2	Enter the second line of the password header according to instructions from your bank or financial institution.  (up to 74 characters) Note:  The text must not start with 1, because that value is reserved as a special record type for the batch header record.
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save, or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save the new or changed Bank Record.

   

• Editing an existing Bank Record, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save the new or changed Bank Record.

  1.  Simply open the program.

  2.  Click the field to change.

  3.  Enter the data changes.

  4.  To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]

   

• Deleting an existing Bank Record, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  Deleting a table that is still used by other programs may cause errors.

  1.  The bank record displays when the window opens.

  2.  Click File from the Menu, and next click Delete.
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [f] [d]

  3.  At the Delete Records prompt, click Proceed to delete the record, or click Cancel to escape from the delete routine.
