LAUREL, MD – Sharetec Systems, core technology made simple, is rolling out a new online banking platform at $27.3 million WSSC Federal Credit Union. The new platform positions the credit union to provide better member services and adopt new technology in the future.

“First and foremost, our goal is to enable our members to take control of their financial lives, anytime and anywhere,” explained Jeff Goff, CEO of WSSC FCU. “We wanted to consolidate our online services into one simple app and at the same time offer more to our members. By doing this we’ll see more traffic to our mobile and home banking applications, which will ultimately drive a higher rate of adoption among our membership.”

Sharetec has partnered with Bankjoy, a provider of online and mobile banking applications. WSSC FCU will be implementing a number of the app’s functions, including geo-location mapping abilities to show members the nearest shared branching and surcharge-free ATM locations.

“This is a big deal for us,” continued Jeff. “And future functionality will include savings goals for our members and the ability to open sub shares.”
