Operator Signon Maintenance
Use Operator Signon Maintenance to maintain the Operator Numbers (also called Operator ID) and their associated security information including their name and the password they must enter to access the programs associated with the security sets for the module.
Generally, this is the fourth step in the process of setting up security for the module.

Opening Operator Signon Maintenance, click More.
1. Press [ALT + s] to launch the Application Supervisor Menu.
2. Click Security.
3. Click
Operator Signon.
Tip: Or,
use the keyboard shortcut:
[ALT

Operator Signon Maintenance Window Example:
Creating a New Operator Signon, click More.
To create a new record choose one of these methods:
Enter
the new Operator ID and click
Retrieve , or press
[ENTER].
Keyboard shortcut: [ALT
+ t]
Or,
enter the new Operator ID and
click File from the Menu
Bar; next click New.
Keyboard shortcut: [ALT]
[f] [n]
Tip: To
indicate that you are building a new Operator Signon record, New displays near the Operator ID. Default
entries display and the first field is highlighted
to let you know you can begin entering information.

Enter the security identification for the operator. (up to 5 characters) Required | |

To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + s] |
To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records. | |

To view all of the existing Operator Signon records, click Search. From the Search list you can select the record to change or delete. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + r] |

To display an existing Operator Signon records, enter the Operator ID and click Retrieve, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + t] |
Enter the name of the operator. (up to 25 characters) | |
Enter the secret combination of characters the operator will use to signon to the module when security is active. (up to 12 characters) Required | |

Editing an Existing Operator Signon, click More.
CAUTION: To
avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
1. To
display the record to be changed, enter the Operator
ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].

Tip: If
you do not know the Operator ID, you can click Search to see a list of Operator Signon records.
2. To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.
3. Enter the data changes.
4. To
complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].

Deleting an Existing Operator Signon, click More.
1. To
display the record to be deleted, enter the Operator
ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].

Tip: If
you do not know the Operator ID, you can click Search to see a list of Operator Signon records.
2. Click
File from the Menu
Bar, and next click Delete.
Keyboard shortcut: [ALT]

3. At the Delete Records prompt, click Proceed to delete the record, or click Cancel to escape from the delete routine.
