The Place of Service ID is the key field that identifies the Place of Service information. Within each Place of Service ID, you can assign the individual Place of Service Print Codes to each of the different insurance Form Types you have set up. You will enter a Place of Service ID in the Place of Treatment field for each location record you create. For more information about associating Place of Service IDs with Locations see the example in Place of Service Maintenance.
Tip: When creating the Place of Service ID you may find it handy to use the same code as the Form Type Print Code of an insurance you frequently use.
Example:
If BC/BS's Place of Service for office is 03, you may find it helpful to create a Place Of Service ID of 03 for office.
