The Patient Remarks Line 1 & 2 fields contain patient-specific information used internally by your practice for billing purposes. Use these optional fields to maintain co-pay amounts, sliding-scale fees or other billing information useful to your front office. Or, you can use these fields to maintain patient allergy information or information about pain medication they are currently taking.
Tips:
You can maintain family size and income information used to calculate sliding-scale fees. This information displays during Charge Entry to facilitate calculating any discount given for services rendered.
Do not confuse the Remarks maintained during Remarks Maintenance with these Remarks entered in the Remarks Area of the Patient Entry Demographics Window. They are used for different purposes.

You can view Patient Remarks Line 1 and 2 in several other windows within INSight including Scheduling, Charge Entry, and Payment Entry.
Patient Remarks Line 1 and 2 do not print on patient statements.
Patient Remarks Line 1 and 2 can print on patient Encounter Forms, if INSight's Encounter Form Parameter is set to do so.
