Export Destination

Use the Export Destination maintenance to set the physical attributes of the text file created when exporting voter information.  These attributes include the file delimiter, the file name, and definition file name.  The Export Voter file process uses the Export Destination information to create a text file containing voter registration information.  Click here to see more about exporting Voter information.

Directions

NOTE:  NDS Technical Support will assist you with setting up this information.  Once this information is set it does not change under normal operating conditions.

• From the Menu Bar click File Maintenance, next click Export Maintenance, and next click Export Destination.
  Keyboard Shortcut:  [ALT] [m] [e] [e]

  Export Destination Maintenance Entries
  Destination ID	Enter the unique destination ID which is used to recall and store this export information.
  	To retrieve this information click Retrieve or press [ENTER].   displays to let you know this is a new item.
  File Type	Click a File Type from the drop-down list.
  File Name	Enter the file name for this export destination file.
  Definition File Name	Enter the definition file name for this export destination file.
  	To save the changes made, click Save. Caution: If you forget to click Save, you may lose your changes.
  	To close out of this routine, click this button.

• To edit export destination information click here.

  1. Enter the Destination ID to be changed and press [ENTER] or click .  Or, you may click if you do not know the ID.

  2. Press [Tab] to the information that needs to be changed or using the mouse click on the desired field.

  3. Edit the information following the entry guidelines for that field.

  4. To complete the edit, click .  
     CAUTION!  If you forget to click Save, you may lose your changes.
