Rapid Renewal Receipts Import Control Maintenance

Use Rapid Renewal Receipts Import Control Maintenance to maintain the physical attributes of the import work file containing rapid renewal information.  This information is used during the Rapid Renewal Receipts Import routines.  The control information includes the file type, the file name, and the definition file name.

• Generally, this information is set during installation and once it's set, it typically does not change under normal operating conditions.  For more information, contact NDS Technical Support.

• Opening Rapid Renewal Receipts Import Control Maintenance, click More.

   

  1.  Click Tools from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Import.

  3.  Click Rapid Renewal Receipts.

  4.  Click Import Control Maintenance.

• Creating a New Rapid Renewal Receipts Import Control Record, click More.

   

  To create a new record, enter the new Import Control ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Tip:  To indicate that you are building a new Import Control record, New  displays near the Import Control ID.  Default entries display and the first field is highlighted to let you know you can begin entering information.

   

  Rapid Renewal Receipts Import Control Maintenance Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Import Control ID	Enter the unique identifier which used to store and recall the rapid renewal receipts import control information. (up to 6 characters)
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
  	To view all of the existing import control records, click Search.  From the Search list you can select the record to change or delete. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + r]
  	To display an existing import control record, enter the Import Control ID and click Retrieve, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]

  File Type	To select a file type, click a choice in the drop-down list. File Types: No Delimiter Quote Comma Comma Only Pipe Tab
  File Name	Enter the file name for the import control. (up to 80 characters)
  Category	Enter the category ID for the import control. (up to 30 characters)
  Definition File	Enter the definition file name for the import control. (up to 30 characters)

  Import Type	To specify the type of import, click a choice in the drop-down list.

   

• Editing an Existing Rapid Renewal Receipts Import Control Record, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1.  To display the record to be changed, enter the Import Control ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].

  Tip:  If you do not know the Import Control ID, you can click Search  to see a list of Import Control records.

  2.  To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  3.  Enter the data changes.

  4.  To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].

• Deleting an Existing Rapid Renewal Receipts Import Control Record, click More.

   

  1.  To display the record to be deleted, enter the Import Control ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Tip:  If you do not know the Import Control ID, you can click Search  to see a list of Rapid Renewal Receipts Import Control records.

  2.  Click File from the Menu Bar, and next click Delete.
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [f] [d]

  3.  At the Delete Records prompt, click Proceed to delete the record, or click Cancel to escape from the delete routine.
