Field Description - Invoice Date

The Invoice Date is the date the purchase for the service or item was made.  The Invoice Date can be used for reporting purposes and to look up invoices.

Tip:  Do not confuse Invoice Date with Invoice Due Date.  Generally, the Invoice Date and the Invoice Due date are two different dates unless the invoice is prepaid.

Where-Maintained:  Standard Invoice Entry, Permanent Invoice Entry

Where-Used:  Invoicing routines, Accounts Payable routines

Format:  Date (mmddccyy - slashes and century optional)
