Work Order Device Test Codes Maintenance

Use Work Order Device Test Codes Maintenance to view and assign defined problem/task codes to be used when generating work orders from the Testing Management view.  For each device type that you have, assign a problem task code for each inspection code - appointment required or appointment not required.  Testing Problem Task codes must be assigned to the type of tests in order to create work orders for device testing in the Testing Management view.  Testing problem task codes allow tests requiring appointments to be distinguished from tests not requiring appointments in the Scheduling.

Tip:  Work Order Device Test Codes Maintenance can also be accessed from the Testing Management view.

• Opening Work Order Device Test Code Maintenance, click More.

  1.  Click Service Management from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click File Maintenance.

  3.  Click Automation.

  4.  Click Work Order Device Test Code Maintenance.

• Creating a New Work Order Device Test Code, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To maintain data integrity, new Work Order Device Test Codes can not be created.  To edit Work Order Device Test Codes settings, see the Editing step.

   

• Editing an Existing Work Order Device Test Code, click More.

   

  Work Order Device Test Codes Prompts
  Appointment Required Select the problem/task codes to use for generating a work order for each type of device test when an appointment is required to perform the test.
  Backflow	To select the defined problem/task code to use for generating a work order for a backflow test requiring an appointment, click to select a code from the drop-down list.
  Meter	To select the defined problem/task code to use for generating a work order for a meter test requiring an appointment, click to select a code from the drop-down list.
  Component	To select the defined problem/task code to use for generating a work order for a component test requiring an appointment, click to select a code from the drop-down list.
  Appointment Not Required Select the problem task code to use for generating a work order for each type of device test when an appointment is not required.
  Backflow	To select the defined problem/task code to use for generating a work order for a backflow test not requiring an appointment, click to select a code from the drop-down list.
  Meter	To select the defined problem/task code to use for generating a work order for a meter test not requiring an appointment, click to select a code from the drop-down list.
  Component	To select the defined problem/task code to use for generating a work order for a component test not requiring an appointment, click to select a code from the drop-down list.
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save. Note:  A message displays to alert you that the entries are saved.
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
  or	To close the window when finished, click Close.

   

• Deleting an Existing Work Order Device Test Code, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To maintain data integrity, you can not delete Work Order Device Test Codes Settings.  To edit Work Order Device Test Codes settings, see the Edit step.
