Service Call Entry - Call Number Entry and Action Panel

Use the Call Number Entry and Action Panel to assign the Call Number to the service call.  In addition, you can use the Action buttons to perform functions such as, dispatching the service call and printing the associated work order.  The table following the window example describes the Call Number Entry and Action Panel for Service Call Entry.

Directions:

To display the Service Call Entry - Call Number Entry and Action Panel:  

1.  Click Service Mgt from the Menu Bar.

2.  Click Daily Work.

3.  Click Service Call Entry.

Tip
:  Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [m] [a] [e].

Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.

Call Number

Entry Options:

  • To assign the next available Call Number, Press [ENTER].

  • To recall an existing service call, enter the assigned Call Number. (6.0 numeric)

Tips:  

  • displays to indicate you are creating a new service call.

  • To search for a Call Number, click Multiple Search or press [CTRL + f].

  • To search for a service call by Technician, enter .T and then, click Multiple Search or press [CTRL + f].

 

Master

To maintain the master information for the service call including the location, customer and contact information, click Master.

Detail

To maintain the problem/task details pertaining to the service call, click Detail.

Notes

To maintain additional notes pertaining to the service call, if applicable, click Notes.

Header

To maintain the header information to print on the service call work order, click Header.

Print

To print the service call work order, click Print.

Delete

To delete an existing customer service call, click Delete.

Keyboard shortcut:  [CTRL + d]

Assign

To assign a technician to perform the service call work, click Assign.

Dispatch

To dispatch a technician to perform the service call work, click Dispatch.

Complete

To complete the service call, click Complete.
