Field Description - Billing Type

The Billing Type determines the additional billing information that is needed to generate billing charges for the service connection.

Billing Types:

• Demand

• Multiple Reading

• Compound Reading

• Credit Compound Reading

• Generate - used for generating net metering or solar credits

• Other

• Deduct Meter - Acts as a forward reading meter but with negative usage.  If the charge transaction is set as a credit the charge will be negative as well.

Where-Maintained:  Billing Type Maintenance

Where-Used:  Bill Entry, Billing Post, Create Customer, Import Readings/Create Transactions Enhanced
