Employee Maintenance - Employee Retirement Insurance Window

Use the Employee Retirement Insurance Window in Employee Maintenance to enter the flat-rate dollar amount deducted for employee retirement insurance for retirees only.  This value prints in the Life Insurance Premium column of the Monthly Retirement Report as the Retired Employee Insurance Amount.  The table following the window example describes the fields.

1.  Open Employee Maintenance.

2.  Click Retirement Insur $ in the Menu Tree.

Retirement Insurance

Enter the flat dollar rate for the retiree insurance amount for retirees.  (4.2 numeric)

Tips:

  • If the value for this field is not zero, it, prints on the Monthly Retirement Report for Maine as the retired employee insurance amount.

  • If a flat retiree ins amount exists for an individual employee, the flat amount overrides the amount calculated by using the basic monthly retiree insurance rate, which is entered when you run the Monthly Retirement Report.

  • For retirees, this amount is used instead of the insurance values maintained during Retirement Table Maintenance (RET%05).

To update the new or changed information, click Save, or press [ENTER].

CAUTION

To avoid losing data, you must save the new or changed Retirement Insurance Amount.

To return to the main Employee Maintenance window, click Done.
