Field Description - GL Category Description

The GL Category Description contains a detailed description for the GL Category.  The description should make some reference to inventory and include any information that is specific to the GL Category.  How much you include depends on the amount of detail that you want to have in your General ledger.  The description should define the breakdown represented by this particular GL Category.  Sometimes companies make different GL inventory accounts for different locations and/or groups of items.  Some companies have only one set of accounts, in which case the description can be simply Inventory for Sales, Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold.
