Virtual Clerk Citizen Internet Portal
Virtual Clerk Provides Access 24/7
Virtual Clerk™ provides an exciting new service for your community that extends property values, assessing data, and tax payment information to the Internet. Using the web and a browser, individuals can access your community’s data from virtually any place in the world without having to pick up the phone or visit town hall 7 days a week 24 hours per day. This allows you and your staff to focus on important tasks instead of answering repetitive questions.
Customized For Your Town
Unlike other services that just place information on the Internet, Virtual Clerk has the ability to create and manage personalized custom views of your data for different types of data consumers. Virtual Clerk can maintain special views with key information for data intensive consumers like real estate brokers, insurance agents, and banks, while providing a more simplistic view for the general public. These different views help your community serve the specific needs of diverse groups without the need of maintaining multiple web sites. It can even provide an avenue of revenue generation through subscriptions and charges for these specialty data views.
Easy to Use
Virtual Clerk is easy to use for your staff and for the people within your community. Property information can be accessed in several different ways in addition to the Map and Lot number. Virtual Clerk’s comprehensive search screen (supports “wild-card” searches) allows access to property information by owner's name as well as street address and property location. In addition, the concise single screen property information display makes finding information fast and convenient.
State-of-the Art Technology
Virtual Clerk utilizes state-of-the-art technology to create a seamless but simple integration with your existing NDS data processing system. Virtual Clerk moves data at a scheduled time or on demand from your server and puts it on the web by creating an XML island. The XML island alleviates the need to have a database resident on the website which makes the implementation far more cost effective and less complex for the municipality to manage. In addition, Virtual Clerk utilizes a standard real estate XML document that contains all of the necessary industry field tags, which makes the resulting product compatible with other systems that use XML.
Virtual Clerk In Action
Using the most advanced technology for data exchange, Virtual Clerk passes information between your NDS system and your community's Web Server using the Extensible Markup Language (XML). XML has become the standard for exchange of information over the Internet. As a result, information can be efficiently exchanged between the Virtual Clerk product and your Web Server. The information transfer process is illustrated below.
