Insight Eye Patient Management (EPM) is an Electronic Medical Records system designed specifically for Eye Care Practices. Designed in collaboration with Optometrists and Ophthalmologists in a real eye care office, EPM concentrates on streamlining the encounter process for the doctors and their staff.
With EPM, a doctor can complete a complicated patient encounter with point-and-click speed and minimal need for typing. EPM is designed to handle Eye Health Exams and Problem Specific Exams providing the flexibility to deal with refractive as well as illness-related exams.
Rather than shuffling cards and paper, all the patient information is right in front of you in your office, in the exam room, and over the Internet. If you wish, EPM can even tie in to your eyewear inventory with an optional frames Data database.

EPM’s powerful desktop manager maintains and coordinates the activities of all physicians and resources in the practice. You can easily track all the functions of the practice from letters to prescriptions to open to-do and so much more.

EPM organizes encounter data in the classical “SOAP” format. This familiar organization provides for the clear and efficient entry and presentation of patient clinical data.
Drop-down Menus
EPM allows the recording of encounter data in free-text format – providing flexibility of data entry. EPM data may be typed in freely, or may be embedded as discrete data elements in the patient encounter. The discrete data may be used to generate prescriptions, request procedures, perform data analyses, and map ICD – CPT codes for billing.
Dictation
EPM lets you dictate patient encounters of patient historical, subjective and objective information, while providing for discrete data entry of diagnoses, medications, and plans. Oral dictations are automatically transcribed and integrated into the patient’s record. EPM dictation lets you maintain your familiar work routine while incorporating medical data into your patients' records.
