Northern Data Systems Community Involvement
A Different Way
NDS has always set itself apart from the competition. This philosophy extends to our employees as well. In addition to a strong educational, financial and capital commitment to the people that make up our company, NDS promotes solidarity with company events, such as the annual family day at Hadlock Field, home of the Portland SeaDogs. Events such as this promote the feeling that working at Northern Data Systems is more than just a job.
Community Involvement
Northern Data Systems also supports several charities, both local and national. NDS supports the Good Shepard Foodbank. NDS and its employees also continually support the United Way with yearly contributions and volunteer efforts.
NDS is a co-founding member of Maine Handicapped Skiing. This non-profit organization gives physically challenged kids and adults the opportunity and the specialized equipment to ski. The program is free to eligible participants and is supported solely by donations. Sunday River provides free lift tickets and facilities to the skiiers in the program. Thus allowing them to participate in an uplifting activity that has positive aspects well beyond the winter ski season.
